The mission of Sulphur Springs Museum is to celebrate and preserve the social, cultural, and natural history of Sulphur Springs, a community that helped shape Tampa, Florida and Spring Hill, its historically African-American neighborhood; to educate and empower adults and youth about history and environmental sustainability, both locally and across the state of Florida.
We’re excited to announce our 2025 Sunday Speaker Series, “Our Florida: Past, Present, and Future,” funded through Florida Humanities. The series features nine outstanding speakers sharing their expertise on everything from Florida Springs, through the Florida Movie Industry, to Juneteenth Pride!

What are your memories of Sulphur Springs? Did you swim in the spring-fed pool? Tell ghost stories about the Tower? Did you shop in the Arcade? Watch Saturday shows at the movie theaters? Do you remember life during Segregation?
Sulphur Springs Museum wants to capture your stories for our new Community Digital Archive. We’d love to interview you, see your photos and memorabilia, and add them to our collection for visitors to learn about days gone by.
Please join us for our Community Collaboration Day and share your memories of the people, places, and events that shaped this unique community.
